The BFA emphasis in Art and Technology in the Visual Arts division of New World School of the Arts integrates contemporary art and technology. The course curriculum prepares students for fields in emergent technologies in film, television, digital media, and fine arts through the investigation of contemporary media. Coursework is offered in motion design, 2D animation, 3D modeling and animation, experimental video, installation and performance art, digital photography, narrative filmmaking, interactive media, and hypermedia (web art). A major emphasis is placed on concept, creativity, and innovation in both the fine and applied arts. The curriculum culminates in a creative and diverse body of media work synthesized into a final professional digital portfolio and a focused thesis work for their BFA exhibition.
