The BFA emphasis in Art and Technology in the Visual Arts division of New World School of the Arts is a partnership between Miami Dade College and the University of Florida, which has integrated contemporary art and technology since 1998. The course curriculum prepares students for fields in emergent technologies in film, television, digital media, and fine arts by investigating contemporary media. Coursework is offered in FILM + FX + ANIMATION + NEW MEDIA. The focus is on concept, creativity, and innovation in the fine and applied arts. The curriculum culminates in a creative and diverse body of media work synthesized into a final professional digital portfolio and a focused thesis work for their BFA exhibition.
